Project
The magazine “Umjetnica Horvatska” brings together interviews with contemporary Croatian women artists and a gallery of their work. The publication is based on the need to systematically document their practices and prevent them from being overlooked or forgotten, particularly given the limited historical record of women artists in Croatia.
The interviews and gallery section are separated not only through page order, but also through the use of papers with different dimensions and textures. This structure allows the artworks to be viewed independently and without visual distraction.
Each spread presents a single work accompanied only by essential information. In this way, the reader’s attention remains focused on the artwork itself, while the magazine design acts as a quiet framework for its presentation.
