The “Full Stop” bookend is inspired by the term bookend, literally referring to the end of a book. As a book most commonly ends with a full stop, three full stops are used as the principal formal and structural element.

The simple form allows the weight of the books to stabilise the bookend itself. It also supports different uses, including the display of a selected book.

The three dots can also be read as an ellipsis, suggesting that the collection is not complete and that many new titles are yet to come. Reflecting this idea, the object was produced in three versions: two made from sheet metal in contrasting colours and one from stainless steel.
