The “Trimming Bangs” project is inspired by the frequent need to trim a fringe, which gradually becomes a personal ritual of care and hairstyle maintenance. Drawing on the experience of cutting one’s own hair at home, the project introduces two handmade metal tools designed to make shaping a fringe simpler, more precise and safer without professional assistance.
The first tool acts as a guide for a straight cut, while the second enables combing, thinning and shaping of the ends. Both are attached to the hair like clips, stabilising the strands and guiding the direction of the cut.
The project gives users greater control during the trimming process and makes it easier to achieve an even, tidy result, transforming an everyday task into a considered and precisely designed ritual.
