Project

The project “Redesign of the Visual Identity of the 25 FPS Festival” explores the relationship between typography, movement, and film language through a reinterpretation of the visual identity of 25 FPS, the International Festival of Experimental Film and Video.

Modular geometric elements function as a metaphor for film frames that, as they pass through the logotype, generate inversions and continuous image transformations.

The visual system is built around rhythm, fragmentation, and change, emphasising key characteristics of experimental film. In this way, the identity translates the dynamism of the medium into a clear and contemporary graphic language.

Author

Margita Fotez is a master’s student of Media Design at University North. Their work explores visual identity, motion design and digital media, with a particular interest in developing systems that use movement to extend the possibilities of graphic design.

The project was created as part of the Media Systems Design course, in response to an assignment to develop a concept and design a festival identity applicable across a broad range of media.
