The “mic mic” project was developed as part of the graduation thesis “Packaging as a Multifunctional Design Object”, supervised by Assistant Professor Katja Milković, PhD, and co-supervised by Assistant Professor of Art Denis Sardoz. Its aim was to create packaging that extends beyond its primary role of protecting a product during transport and storage, becoming a multifunctional design object.

The project combines three functions within a single product. After serving as packaging for a single portion of cat food, it can be easily transformed into a feeding tray that also functions as an interactive toy. This gives the packaging additional practical value and extends its life cycle.

The project demonstrates how considered design can bring together functionality, sustainability and animal welfare. By enabling the packaging to be reused, it reduces waste and encourages a more responsible approach to design and consumption.
