The project “Između” explores friction as a force created through the contact of two surfaces. Although it can slow movement, it also generates change, leaves traces and shapes new value. In this collection of ceramic spheres, friction is not represented literally, but as a process that leaves a visible mark on the surface of each object.
The black lines created using the raku technique symbolise traces of touch, tension and energy. They recall cracks, roots or currents formed through the encounter of opposing forces. The perfect geometry of the sphere represents balance and wholeness, while the irregular traces speak of experience, time and transformation.
The contrast between the smooth, calm form and the spontaneous, unpredictable lines creates a dialogue between control and chance, order and chaos. It is precisely within this relationship that friction emerges, not as a destructive conflict, but as a driver of change, growth and creation.
The work presents friction as an invisible force that shapes material, nature and human experience, leaving a trace that becomes an integral part of the identity of each object.
