The “Glagolitic Collection” project comprises a series of original products for interiors and outdoor spaces inspired by the Glagolitic script, one of the most significant symbols of Croatian cultural heritage and identity. Through a contemporary design approach, traditional forms and meanings are reinterpreted as functional objects combining aesthetics, symbolism and everyday use.
The collection includes products of different functions and materials, connected by an exploration of identity, belonging and heritage. Rather than reproducing historical motifs literally, the project translates them into a contemporary and widely accessible design language.
The products are intended for both private and public spaces, as well as users in Croatia and abroad. For the Croatian diaspora, they can provide a connection to their homeland and cultural roots, while introducing international audiences to Croatian identity through contemporary design.
The project also raises questions about belonging, understanding one’s roots and the potential of design to preserve, reinterpret and transmit cultural heritage to future generations.
