FS station archive

Project
The “FS Station Archive” project is a research-based digital platform that explores the architectural and infrastructural development of five major Italian railway stations through a structured archival experience. It combines visual identity and UI/UX design to translate complex historical material into an accessible and intuitive user interface.
Architectural drawings, historical photographs and technical documentation are organised within a clear narrative system that supports both chronological exploration and thematic comparison. Timelines, layered plan views and analytical diagrams guide users through the development of each station while revealing broader cultural, technological and urban transformations.
The result is a digital archive in which information design and visual clarity work together to make extensive research material engaging, easy to understand and simple to navigate.
