The exhibition “The Eye is the Lamp of the Body” – Dr Zvonimir Pavišić, Physician and Humanist presents selected material from the donated legacy of Croatian ophthalmologist and academician Zvonimir Pavišić, a long-serving professor and head of the Eye Clinic at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine.

Preserved at the Typhlological Museum, the collection documents five decades of his scientific and medical work dedicated to the development of ophthalmology and the advancement of healthcare in Croatia.

This diverse archival material offers an insight into the development of modern medical science and ophthalmic practice in Croatia, from their beginnings to a level comparable with European ophthalmology.

The exhibition’s visual identity was developed as an integrated design system spanning the poster, catalogue, invitation, digital communications and spatial exhibition design. It connects the content, archival material and visitor experience within a unified narrative. Particular attention was paid to accessibility and inclusion, with design used not only to present the content but also to support different ways of perceiving and interpreting the space.
