KO:KE Space is a multifunctional creative venue located in the centre of Zagreb, at Prilaz Gjure Deželića 27. Intimate, minimalist, and flexible, it is designed as a platform for contemporary creative events – from art exhibitions and product launches to workshops, pop-up formats, lectures, and smaller events.
Behind the concept are graphic designer Maja Bagić Barić and visual communications studio KO:KE creative farm. The space is conceived as a meeting point for ideas, people, and disciplines, continuously changing and adapting to the content it hosts. Its modular organisation allows for various uses, while a carefully designed ambience creates a stimulating environment for presentation, collaboration, and experimentation.
Combining expertise from design, production, event organisation, and contemporary technologies, KO:KE Space develops programmes that encourage knowledge exchange, creative exploration, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The mission of KO:KE Space is to connect the local community with international authors, designers, artists, and creatives, and to create an open space for dialogue, learning, and the development of new ideas. KO:KE Space is not merely an event venue, but a platform for co-creation, exploration, and connecting creative practices.
O programu
KO:KE Space is presenting the exhibition “Oduzeta svakodnevica” by illustrator Hana Tintor at Zagreb Design Week. The exhibition brings together a series of illustrations created during the pandemic lockdown in response to a simple question: what do we miss most when everyday life comes to a halt?
The project began with a conversation with a friend from Milan who, faced with the first restrictions, spoke of how he could not wait to walk through his favourite park again. That moment prompted Hana Tintor to use illustration to explore what people truly value when their everyday freedoms become unavailable. She collected answers via Instagram, and instead of grand life plans and ambitions, people spoke of simple desires: walking barefoot on grass, hugs, going to the beach, walks in the sun, socialising, and the feeling of security.
Six years later, these works are no longer merely a document of an exceptional period but also a reminder of the values we easily overlook. The exhibition raises the question of whether, in the accelerated pace of life, we have lost clarity about what is truly important to us and invites us to reconsider presence, togetherness, nature, and the small rituals of everyday life.
Hana Tintor is an illustrator, author, and animator of short animated films. She graduated in Visual Communications from the School of Design in Zagreb and Illustration from Cambridge School of Art (UK). Her works are recognisable for their playfulness, wit, and strong narrative potential.
