The project “A Visual Interpretation of Interest in Reading in Croatia in 2025” uses a ready-made intervention to present current reading habits and demonstrate how easily the existing average can be surpassed.

The project is based on the idea that developing curiosity, empathy and the discipline of inquiry begins with the individual, whose actions can influence the wider community and spread the message further. Information is gradually decoded and revealed through the intimate act of leafing through the work, while statistical data is interpreted as fragmented graphs composed of Post-it notes.

By comparing the proportions of respondents’ answers, the project aims to encourage greater interest in reading, based on the belief that a competitive approach can contribute to the development and preservation of critical thinking. The infographic was created as part of the Visual Communication Design 6 course during the 2024/2025 academic year.
