Teatar &TD

Project

The project “Teatar &TD: Visual System” encompasses the development of a visual identity for a poster series and programme booklet, created following research into the performances Girls with Horns, Frutti di Mare and Man Meets Woman. Although the productions differ in theme, pixel illustration proved to be a flexible visual language, capable of interpreting diverse motifs and adaptable to the theatre’s future repertoire.

The identity is based on three primary colours that are consistently used across all posters. Their application is not rigidly defined; no colour is permanently assigned to a specific design element, allowing greater freedom in composition while maintaining a recognisable visual system.

The pixel elements were developed specifically for this project and selected according to tonal values. Darker surfaces use pixel structures with fewer empty areas, while lighter sections feature elements with a greater proportion of empty space.

The programme booklet follows the same visual identity as the poster series, using the same typography, colour palette and design principles. In this way, the project establishes a coherent and recognisable system of visual communication for Teatar &TD.
