Clear for Takeoff

Skycare

Project

SkyCare is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence and autonomous drone delivery to improve access to essential medical supplies. The project addresses challenges in healthcare logistics, particularly for people living in rural and remote areas, individuals with limited mobility and patients requiring urgent medical assistance. It enables fast and reliable delivery of medicines while reducing transport costs, traffic-related delays and environmental impact.

Rather than focusing solely on the technical aspects of drone technology, SkyCare places user experience at the centre of healthcare innovation. Through a clear and intuitive interface, the application simplifies interaction between patients, healthcare professionals and AI-powered systems. Users can log in as either healthcare professionals or patients, with the interface and functionalities adapted to each role.

The project was developed for the 2026 Global Competition on Design for the Futures (GCD4F) in Maribor, where it received the Best Innovation Award at the regional final.

The Clear for Takeoff design team consists of Antonija Glasnović, Dominik Pračić and Damjan Vujić. The team was formed during their undergraduate studies in IT Design at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, where they developed a shared interest in creative problem-solving and human-centred design. After completing their undergraduate degrees, Dominik Pračić and Damjan Vujić continued with a master’s programme in IT Design at the same institution, while Antonija Glasnović pursued her master’s studies at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Graphic Arts.

Through both collaborative and individual projects, they combine aesthetics, functionality and user experience. During their academic and professional development, they have participated in design competitions, exhibitions and other creative projects.

Their work has been presented as part of the 2024 Global Competition on Design for the Future of Education (GCD4FE), Student Cuts, Zagreb Design Week 2024, the 2025 International Scientific and Professional Conference Printing & Design, and student exhibitions.
