Project
The project presents a conceptual redesign of the visual identity and packaging for Eva, an established Croatian seafood brand. Its aim was to reinterpret the brand through a contemporary approach while preserving its connection to the Adriatic Sea and Mediterranean heritage.
The existing commercial aesthetic was replaced with a contemporary visual language inspired by gyotaku, the traditional Japanese technique of fish printing. Original fish prints were digitally processed and integrated into the packaging system, creating authentic textures and distinctive graphics.
A new logo, colour palette, typography and packaging structure were developed to establish a stronger and more consistent brand identity. The slogan “Iz srca mora” was retained as a cultural link between the contemporary design and the brand’s tradition.
The project demonstrates how graphic design can revitalise an established food brand by respecting its history, improving visual consistency and strengthening its market recognition.
