The “Ori-Ginnal” chair was developed as part of a project at the School of Design. The assignment invited students to create original interpretations of well-known chairs, considered not only as design icons but also as carriers of ideas, cultural values and technological solutions.

The chair’s concept is based on one of the fundamental principles of Jean Prouvé’s design approach: using the full potential of sheet steel, whose structural rigidity is increased through bending. The project reinterprets this principle through a contemporary form and an original construction solution.
