The “Medica” is a limited-edition corporate gift that transforms a traditional Slovenian honey liqueur into a contemporary design object. Created for business partners, clients and supporters of the brand, it turns a familiar artisanal product into a distinctive expression of identity and craftsmanship.

The visual concept is built around a single letter: “M”. Abstracted into a sharp geometric form, it moves beyond the conventional label to become the defining element of the entire identity system. Its angular silhouette contrasts with the soft curves of the bottle, creating a dynamic visual tension that evokes the energy of bees while moving away from the nostalgic aesthetics commonly associated with honey-based drinks.

The bottle and packaging were designed as a unified visual system. A matt black box heightens the contrast between the vivid yellow label and the warm amber tone of the liqueur, allowing colour, form and typography to take centre stage.

A refined serif typeface conveys tradition and authenticity, while diagonal microtypography introduces movement and a subtle departure from convention. Guided by reduction, the identity relies on structure, contrast and symbolism to transform a traditional local product into a memorable contemporary object.
