The interior design concept for the restaurant and bar stems from the Japanese concept of MA (間) – an emptiness that is not an absence, but an active space enabling balance and harmony. In this project, MA is interpreted as a moment of respite and a rhythm between events, creating an ambience that moves away from the fast pace of the business zone where the restaurant is located.

This manifests in the space through carefully designed intermediate spaces and transitions – a balance between full and empty, material and light, dynamism and serenity. The spatial dramaturgy creates a natural flow of movement, in which the user intuitively transitions from one atmosphere to another, from bustling public areas towards more intimate sections intended for a more relaxed stay.

The chosen materials and textures emphasise contrast and coexistence: warm and tactile combined with smooth and reflective surfaces, diffuse and directed light, open and closed spatial sequences. In this way, architecture becomes a medium that simultaneously refreshes the senses and the mind, transforming dining into an experience of space and rhythm.

The restaurant and bar thus transcend the basic function of a catering establishment, becoming a place for balancing between daily dynamics and much-needed respite – a spatial manifestation of the MA concept in a contemporary urban context.
