Kolovoz

Project

The visual identity for the restaurant „Kolovoz” was developed for a venue located in the historic railway station in Pula. The design is rooted in the modernist heritage of Croatian graphic design and the visual culture of Yugoslav railways, reinterpreted through a contemporary, clear and functional graphic language.
The logo is based on the rhythm of three letter O’s, whose circular forms simultaneously evoke train wheels, a plate and cutlery, linking the ideas of travel and gastronomy. The identity system draws on visual references from old timetables, railway signage and printed railway materials, translating them into the contemporary context of a restaurant.
Through typography, information structure and graphic details, the project creates a distinctive identity that respects the character of the location while building a strong and functional visual system for a contemporary hospitality space.
