Juna

Project

The “Juna” dining chair is made from solid ash. Its construction is designed so that the structural elements meet through organically shaped joints, creating the impression of a continuous whole. The front legs extend into the backrest, while the rear legs branch from it and wrap around the seat.

The chair emerged as a formal exercise in developing a sculptural form that also provides ergonomic comfort. The project is based on the idea that an object should retain its value even when it is not in use, enriching the space through its visual character.

The combination of design, a sculptural approach, CNC machining and handcraft resulted in a chair with a distinctive organic form.
