Project

“The Wall / Ceiling is Lava” is an analogue projection of liquid light created using an overhead projector, which transforms an ordinary wall into a landscape of constantly changing colours and movements. A mixture of pumpkin seed oil, olive oil, water, and food colouring is continuously stirred by a fan, creating slow, organic patterns reminiscent of a living lava lamp. The projection explores the unpredictable beauty of floating colours, merging science, chance, and nostalgia into a captivating visual experience. Viewers would lie on the floor and immerse themselves in the slow movement of changing coloured blobs.
