Project
“Invisible Shapes” is an interactive installation that explores loneliness as one of the most universal human experiences, often hidden behind everyday routines and digital communication. The installation invites visitors to use their own mobile devices, by scanning a QR code, to transform invisible emotions into abstract digital objects. Through a simple interface, participants create a three-dimensional object representing the feeling of loneliness, adjusting its shape, proportions, colour, and texture.
Once submitted, each object becomes part of a shared digital landscape that continuously grows and is projected into the exhibition space. Visitors can explore this environment using a custom Arduino-powered joystick, discovering the objects created by other participants. The installation also allows for passive observation, opening space for reflection on a collective emotional archive even without creating an object of one’s own.
The project is grounded in research into loneliness as a subjective experience. “Invisible Shapes” translates emotions into abstract forms, encouraging interpretation, curiosity, and empathy rather than literal representation. The aim of the installation is to create a space in which invisible emotions become visible, shared, and acknowledged, while prompting conversations about emotional wellbeing and human connection.
Designed for a broad audience, the installation combines participatory design, digital interaction, and immersive spatial projection, creating an accessible and engaging experience that invites reflection and recognition within the emotional landscapes of others.

Studio VEJF is an independent multidisciplinary design studio exploring the intersection of design, technology and human experience. The studio develops digital experiences, visual identities and interactive installations, translating research into thoughtful and engaging projects across physical and digital environments.
It was founded by Paulina Kuchta-Leśniak, a creative developer working at the intersection of design and technology, and Klara Pogačar, a multidisciplinary designer specialising in graphic design, branding and digital experiences. Their complementary perspectives bring together design, technology and storytelling across projects in branding, digital products and interactive media.
Each project is approached with curiosity and a research-led mindset, balancing experimentation, technical knowledge and attention to detail to create experiences that are functional, meaningful and engaging.
