100 Years of the Šibenik City Museum

Project
The project “100 Years of the Šibenik City Museum” comprises an anniversary logo designed by the Šibenik-based studio 2FG to mark the museum’s centenary.
The central idea emerged during the sketching process, when the designers recognised that the letter Š in the abbreviation MGŠ could be transformed into the number 100. The resulting symbol therefore functions simultaneously as a numeral and a letter. A custom typeface was developed around this sign, including modern serif forms for the letters M and G.
The colour palette is limited to black, used for the letters M and G, and orange, which highlights the Š/100 symbol. As black and orange are also the colours of Šibenik, the city’s identity is subtly incorporated into the logo without relying on literal local motifs.
