The School of Graphic, Design and Media Production is a vocational school that has continuously educated specialists for the graphic and media industry since 1894. Following developments in technology, design, and the needs of the labour market, it has educated future printers, graphic finishing and prepress technicians, media technicians, web designers, and graphic editor-designers. With the introduction of a modular vocational education system, the School has entered a new period of development. Since the last academic year, in accordance with curricular reform, the School has enrolled students in programmes for graphic product designer, web interface development and design technician, media technician, and print and finishing technician. This autumn, it is also introducing the experimental programme Art Multimedia Gymnasium, with which it expands its educational offering in the field of art, media, and contemporary creative practices. It places a special emphasis on learning through real-world projects. In collaboration with institutions, associations, and partners, students work on concrete communication tasks – from theme research and conceptual solution development to graphic product creation. This way of working develops creative, technical, and communication competences and prepares students for further education and the labour market. Students regularly participate in vocational reviews, exhibitions, festivals, and other events, presenting works from the fields of visual communications, graphic and web design, photography, video, and animation.
